Hey there future coworker! If you live in Roseburg, Grants Pass, Cottage Grove, Myrtle Creek, or any of the numerous towns around Southern Oregon, this is for you. We're not about work from home roles based in Portland that say "Oregon" but really mean "the metro area." What we ARE about is investing in Southern Oregon, hiring team members and building careers in one of the most beautiful parts of the country.
We started Ardent with a specific belief: the healthcare industry will benefit from tapping into this particular talent pool. There is no shortage of capable, motivated people here. What the area can always use more of is employers who are willing to build something worth staying for.
What We Actually Hire For
Ardent is a healthcare contact center and support outsourcing company. We provide customer service, revenue cycle management, care coordination, and administrative support to healthcare and health-tech companies across the country. The work is important, it's growing, and it's done from home.
Customer service and patient support roles are where most people start. If you've worked in a call center, a medical office, or any role where you've had to navigate a conversation with someone who's confused, frustrated, or just needs help understanding their options, you already have the foundation. Healthcare customer service is a great move if you have retail or general support experience. The calls are impactful, the information is more complex, and the people on the other end are often dealing with something stressful. That's why we invest in training and development rather than just handing someone a script and a headset.
Healthcare office management and operations work is another area where Southern Oregon stands out. Roseburg and Grants Pass both have established medical communities. People who have managed a dental office, run the front desk of a clinic, handled insurance verifications, or coordinated patient scheduling have a skillset that translates directly into remote healthcare operations. If you've spent years managing the day-to-day of a medical practice and want to apply that experience without the commute, this is the kind of work we do.
Revenue cycle and claims processing roles are for people who have experience with medical billing, coding, prior authorizations, or accounts receivable follow-up. This is detailed, compliance-sensitive work and it's increasingly being done remotely by people who understand the healthcare payment ecosystem. If you've worked in billing at a hospital, a physician group, or a health plan and you're looking for remote work from home in Roseburg or Grants Pass, we'd like to talk to you.
Why Southern Oregon
I've written before about how we think about geography and opportunity. The short version is that we look for places where the talent is real but the professional variety is limited. Southern Oregon is one of those places.
Douglas County and Josephine County have strong community colleges, a workforce shaped by healthcare, timber, and public sector employment, and a quality of life that keeps people rooted. Roseburg sits along the Umpqua River with access to Crater Lake, the Oregon Coast, and a reasonable drive to the Rogue Valley. Grants Pass is the gateway to the Rogue River, the Illinois Valley, and the southern Cascades. People live here for a variety of reasons and they stay because of the lifestyle living here affords.
But choosing to live in Southern Oregon has historically meant accepting a narrower set of career options. Due to the smaller population, companies often overlook the advantages of the area and fail to realize the benefit of operating in the region. Remote work and an outsourcing business model changes that equation, and we think we can bring more opportunities to the table.
Work From Home, Done Right
There's a version of remote work that's isolating, chaotic, and disposable. That's not what we're building. Work from home jobs in Roseburg and Grants Pass shouldn't mean settling for less structure, less development, or less connection to the team you work with.
We provide equipment, training, and a defined career path. As our team members develop, we envision them progressing into more complex healthcare operations work, automation oversight, quality assurance, and team leadership. We've written about this in creating jobs people value and what's wrong with outsourcing — the short version is that we think the traditional model of outsourcing fails employees by treating them as interchangeable. We don't.
The goal is for our team members to feel like they have a good job, not just a job.
Who Should Reach Out
If you're in Roseburg, Grants Pass, Medford, the Umpqua Valley, or anywhere in Southern Oregon and you're looking for remote healthcare work, customer service jobs, or office management roles you can do from home, we want to hear from you. We're especially interested in people who have healthcare experience, whether that's clinical, administrative, or operational, but we also value people who are simply sharp, reliable, and ready to learn something new.
We're not looking for perfection on day one. We're looking for people who want to build a career in healthcare operations from their home in a place they love. If that sounds like you, visit our careers page or reach out to us at careers@useardent.com.
